Social entrepreneurship as a concept aims at combining economic efficiency and social impact, that matters today in the development of countries that, like North Macedonia, struggle with youth unemployment. The project will aim to build a network of educational institutions and companies, in order to inspire the younger generation to think about setting up their own companies in the field of social entrepreneurship. Since the educational institutions are providing only formal education, their students do not have the opportunity to learn practical skills for entrepreneurship in the field.

Therefore, the project shall provide possibilities to increase the knowledge of young learners about basic management skills, social entrepreneurship skills, setting up a business plan, and learning from positive social business examples in the field of organic textile and wine production in France. Since social entrepreneurs address needs that are covered neither by the public sector nor by the market, our learners have more possibilities to learn practical skills in a country that has developed structures for organic textile and organic wine industries.

Our main activities related to this project are:

  • Sharing experience and good practice with other countries.
  • Initiating study visits for young Macedonian entrepreneurs to Western European countries in order for them to have a chance to learn more about social entrepreneurship.
  • Developing a set of measures to support the development of social enterprises and social innovation in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Employment Service Agency, Agency for Support of Entrepreneurship, tax authority, local training providers, business consultants, incubator projects, financial institutions, etc.). 
  • Launching an enabling environment for the development of young people’s potential in the field of social entrepreneurship in the country.

Sanja is the person who makes sure young people get quality and timely information and stands behind every word and the questions of thousands of followers for all entries found on our website and social media. Sanja is the “fresh pair of eyes” in the office, examining the grammar and content of our writings, and is responsible for managing and supporting the Mladiinfo online volunteering community. She provides assistance to our beneficiaries and marketing clients too, keeping the quality and image of the Mladiinfo brand on the highest level. The web content and marketing services of Mladiinfo are executed by Mladiinfo’s spin-off company Social Impact Lab, providing consultancy and expertise in communication, marketing, and social entrepreneurship.
